It's too بر this place is unique to only North Carolina. It's delightful. I love the classic decor with Coca Cola memorabilia. James Dean is of course watching over us. The American Dream is still driving down highway 95. And this is a time Earp through my taste buds.

One of my favorite BBQ places in NC! Great sandwiches and hush puppies.

The barbecue sandwich is vinegar based and the vinegar is over powering and takes from the taste of barbecue

It was definitely clean however the staff were less than friendly compared to most locations. Food portions were good and food was good so I can't complain there.

The staff is always friendly!!! I have always had hot food no matter how late I go! The order is always correct and the food is always delicious! Recommend this location to everyone. Hit the green smiley face! They deserve it!

Come with an empty stomach, because the portions are huge! The manager also gave me a couple of free samples when he heard that I was new to the area.

Friendly service. Remembered me, asked where I had been. Always clean when I get there, always cruising to make sure clean and all is ok.

Food was good. No utensils or napkins though.

No clue what was going on here. Tried to place 3 individual orders (three combos one for each) at the drive thru. They refused to do more than one transaction at the drive thru. This took place during covid. They told us we'd have to come in to place three orders. We were trying to prevent going in to limit exposure. We ended up going inside to place our 3 orders (basically same as if done at drive thru window) but this was at 8pm at night and they were very slow. There was us and one other customer at the time. Just seems like they wanted to intentionally make it difficult. I only eat at Smithfield chicken and BBQ maybe once a year when majority rules in my group so I don't want this review to be taken out of context. This is not a review about their food as I don't like it personally but more about the customer service and how crazy this scenario played out. Didn't even make any sense but we complied since we were hungry and it was late.

It's our one stop every time in NC! Never disappoints, the chicken fingers are the bomb! Service is always pleasant and top notch!

Tasty BBQ, eastern NC style, very good, spacious dining room, walk up to counter and order, served as take out food. Good stop for travelers - in a shopping area, but easy access to main highway. Stopped at another SCNB on another trip, and pleased to say it was the same.

Needs a good scrub down - many surfaces were covered in a sticky residue indicative of spilled sweet tea. Encountered several staff members that were either untrained, or just did not give a flip regarding good customer service.

Went to have lunch with my Mother and Two sister-in-law. All fried foods, but the best fried chicken I've had in a long time.

Great food and excellent service. I have been here twice in the last 2 weeks. They have great staff and a 99 sanitation score. Tony Bryant gave friendly, kind, and courteous service at their drive thru. This location is always clean.

Good BBQ very consistent with flavor and texture. They will give plenty of good fries.

Social consciousness. It was clean; socialable associates; permitted dine-in option; requested patrons wear mask and unbelievably good pork.

Food is always good... people always friendly. I'm happy to have them in my soon to be neighborhood.

My experience was great as it always is. I ordered the tailgate special though I live by myself. I enjoy leftovers! Some leftovers are much better the 2nd time around! Enjoy everyone!!

Something for everyone. The sandwich with extra red sauce is my favorite! But, my friend loved the tenders, fries and beans . Oh and those corn nuggets (Hush puppies) are fantastic... baby enjoys the hot dog of course with fries

Speedy service and great food

We aren't from North Carolina and wanted to try something that would exemplify Carolina BBQ. The pulled pork was vinegary as you'd expect from Carolina BBQ. It was tender and not smokey. I give it a b for a grade. The shrimp were very shrimpy in size, lightly breaded and gently fried. They were still very tender and tasty with cocktail sauce. The hush puppies were the star of the meal. Shaped like little sausages, they were crisp and had good flavor. Service was very nice for a very crowded Sunday lunch time. The fried Chicken had the texture of KFC original fried Chicken, but didn't have overly strong flavors. If you like the strong flavors of Cajun style fried chicken joints like Bojangles or Popeyes, this won't fit the bill. But if you like crispy chicken that is wholesome and good in its own right, you might like this.

Always great food and this Smithfields is normally way cleaner than the others. The staff is very friendly and usually helpful. One of our favorite spots.

If you're looking for a good NC BBQ chains this is my go to. The hush puppies and BBQ sandwiches are great!

First time having Smithfield’s it wasn’t Bad but it wasn’t great either. Chicken was slightly undercooked I think this is because I arrived seconds after they opened but slaw and bbq pork was decent. Next time I’ll come during the lunch rush

In and out good food

Great food and staff! Very clean and bright.

A friend and I ate there at 12:30 today. I ordered a shrimp plate and was quite disappointed with the number and size of the shrimp. These are what are sold as salad shrimp and not mean to be a fried main course. The 6 small hush puppies completely covered the few shrimp. The slaw was good, fries were minimal and cool.The server did a great job keeping the cups filled with ice tea.My friend's fried chicken appeared to be very good.In the past, the BBQ has been dry and unappetizing. So now I'm putting the shrimp on that list. Nashville has few eating options and from now on I will simply go to Saul's restaurant for good BBQ, shrimp or chicken. Or Bojangles for good chicken.

I stopped in here on my way back from the beach. It was as high quality as you'd expect from a Smithfield's. I love how they bring your food out to you. I also love how they have people with pitchers of tea and water roaming around to give you refills. You really get the best of both worlds here - you get the prices of fast-casual and the service that you really need from sit-down.

Best Bar-B-Q quickserv place with Excellent service and good prices

My small shrimp platter was great. Fries, shrimp and corn bread were hot and was delicious. The tea was just right.

Love their Q! Even has two Tesla charging stations in the parking lot.

Very friendly staff. Stopped in for a snack. Good (and free) ice water. Fried chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Was served with hush puppies. Nice to sit inside at a table in the a/c on a hot day during Covid. Tables were about 12 feet apart.

Great group of people. Courteous, quick service, very nice and clean store.

This is my favorite place to eat when traveling. But the music this trip was awful. Wish you would go back to your old station. The food is the best. Service fantastic.
